Manchester United v. Southampton
Manchester United’s Premier League unbeaten run continued on Wednesday with a win at Crystal Palace. The Red Devils have now gone 11 PL matches without a loss under interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and continue to keep the pressure on as they push for a top-4 finish. At the other end of the table, Southampton earned a massive 3 points with a win over Fulham on Wednesday, moving out of the relegation zone and into 17th. There’s no time to rest for the Saints though, as they head to Man United, whom they have not beaten since 2016.
Bournemouth v. Manchester City
Manchester City snuck by West Ham on Wednesday, winning 1-0 on a 2nd-half Sergio Aguero penalty. The defending champions have won 4 straight PL matches and remain 1 point behind league-leaders Liverpool. Bournemouth meanwhile are unbeaten in their last 5 PL home matches, but now face a tough test in Man City, a club they have never beaten.
West Ham v. Newcastle
Newcastle have hit their best run of form so far this season, winning 4 of their last 6 PL matches to climb from 18th to 13th. On Saturday they visit West Ham, who have just one win in their last 6 Premier League matches.
Fulham v. Chelsea
Claudio Ranieri was fired on Thursday after less than 4 months in charge, as Fulham’s tumultuous return to the Premier League continues. Scott Parker will serve as interim manager for the Cottagers, who sit 10 points from safety with 10 matches to play. And his first test will be west London rivals Chelsea, who are coming off a 2-0 win over Tottenham.
Everton v. Liverpool
The weekend wraps up with the 233rd Merseyside Derby, as leaders Liverpool go to Everton. The Reds enter the weekend with a 1-point lead over Manchester City at the top of the table, and are unbeaten in their last 18 meetings with Everton.
