Southampton v. Liverpool

Title contenders Liverpool opened up the season in comfortable fashion, winning 4-1 at home to Norwich City. Meanwhile, Southampton began their first full season under manager Ralph Hasenhuttl with a 3-0 loss at Burnley. Now, they’ll return home having to face the reigning European champions, and recent history between the two clubs has been completely one-sided. Liverpool have won their last 4 Premier League meetings against Southampton, outscoring the Saints 11-1 in the process.

Manchester City v. Tottenham

Manchester City picked up right where they left off last season, winning their 15th straight PL match last Saturday. On the other side, Tottenham survived an opening-weekend scare, as they came from behind to beat Aston Villa thanks to two late Harry Kane goals.  Manchester City have won their last 4 Premier League meetings against Tottenham, though Spurs knocked Pep Guardiola’s men out of last season’s Champions League.

Sheffield United v. Crystal Palace

Both Sheffield United and Crystal Palace are coming off draws over opening weekend – Sheffield United used a late equalizer from Billy Sharp to rescue a point at Bournemouth, while Crystal Palace and Everton played to a goalless draw at Selhurst Park.

Chelsea v. Leicester City

It was a nightmare start to life under Frank Lampard for Chelsea, who lost 4-0 at Manchester United last weekend. Now, the west Londoners return home to face Leicester City, who are coming off a goalless draw with Wolves. There has been very little scoring between these two clubs of late – in total, Chelsea and Leicester City have combined to score 1 goal over their last 3 Premier League meetings.

Wolves v. Manchester United

Manchester United got off to the best possible start to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first full season in charge, as they beat Chelsea 4-0 at Old Trafford last weekend. Now, they’ll travel to face a Wolves side who they failed to beat in 3 meetings across all competitions last season. That includes losing both of their trips to Molineux – one in the Premier League, and one in the FA Cup.
