Southampton v. Burnley
While Southampton and Burnley enter the weekend level on points, Sean Dyche’s men come into Saturday’s game on a better run. Burnley are unbeaten in their last 3 Premier League games, while Southampton are winless in 3 across all competitions. Also of note, Burnley have gotten the better of Southampton lately – the Clarets are unbeaten in their last 6 meetings with the Saints.
Norwich City v. Liverpool
Liverpool’s march to their 1st-ever Premier League title continues at Carrow Road. Jurgen Klopp’s men are now unbeaten in their last 42 Premier League games and sit 22 points clear of 2nd. They won’t have any problems at last-place Norwich, will they? You never know – Norwich did beat Manchester City at Carrow Road back in September.
Aston Villa v. Tottenham
Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham will continue their chase for Champions League qualification at Villa Park. Spurs have won their last 2 Premier League games, which has them sitting just 4 points off the top-4. Meanwhile, at the other end of the table, Aston Villa are still in trouble – they enter the weekend just 1 point and 1 place above the relegation zone.
Arsenal v. Newcastle
Arsenal can’t seem to turn things around. They’ve drawn their last 4 Premier League matches, including a nil-nil stalemate at Burnley before the mid-season break. Mikel Arteta’s men will look to finally get back to winning ways at home to Newcastle, who despite having just 1 win in their last 7 Premier League games, enter the weekend 7 points above the bottom-3.
Chelsea v. Manchester United
It’s a big one on Monday in the race for the top-4. Chelsea currently sit in that final Champions League place, but Manchester United are just 6 points behind. While both clubs have been struggling of late, United fans will be happy to hear that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men have won on each of their last 2 trips to Stamford Bridge (in the FA Cup and EFL Cup).
