Brighton v. Manchester United
Brighton are unbeaten in the first two matches following the return to play, beating Arsenal before drawing away at Leicester City. But Manchester United are arguably the hottest club in the Premier League, keeping 10 clean sheets in their current 14-match unbeaten run in all comps. Can anyone slow down Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team?
Arsenal v. Norwich
Arsenal have won their last two matches in all competitions, including an FA Cup Quarter-Finals win at Sheffield United over the weekend. Mikel Arteta’s side still has time to make a late push for Europe, but they’ll face a team desperately needing 3 points. Norwich sit in last place, six points from safety and are facing a record fifth relegation from the Premier League.
West Ham v. Chelsea
West Ham are in serious trouble after a third consecutive goalless Premier League loss last Tuesday at Tottenham, as the Hammers sit above the relegation zone on goal difference alone. Chelsea, however, are rolling with 5 straight wins in all competitions, outscoring opponents 11-2 while beating the likes of Liverpool, Man City and Leicester City during their current winning run.
Sheffield United v. Tottenham
Sheffield United’s surprising return to the Premier League has slowed down following the return to play, with the Blades winless in their last 4 matches in all competitions while only scoring one goal. Tottenham, meanwhile, ended their 7-match winless run in all comps last week at home against West Ham. Jose Mourinho’s men sit 7 points outside the top-five and can still possibly win their way into a European position by the end of the season.
Manchester City v. Liverpool
Liverpool will take the pitch for the first time since becoming champions of England’s top-flight for the first time in 30 years last week, when Manchester City’s two-year reign as champions ended when they lost at Chelsea. Pep Guardiola’s men have now lost 8 Premier League matches this season, while the new Premier League title winners have lost just once in their last 48 league matches.
