Chelsea v. Huddersfield Town

Chelsea were embarrassed in a 4-0 loss at Bournemouth on Wednesday, dropping out of the top-4 for the first time this season. On the heels of 2 straight PL losses, Chelsea will look to get back on track against last-place Huddersfield Town.  Meanwhile, the Terriers lost their first match under head coach Jan Siewert against Everton on Tuesday as Huddersfield Town continue to head towards relegation. They enter the weekend bottom of the table, 12 points from safety.

Cardiff City v. Bournemouth

After a tough run of results, Bournemouth have suddenly turned things around, winning 2 straight matches, including an emphatic 4-0 win v. Chelsea on Wednesday. They are looking to win 3 straight PL matches in a single season for the first time since March 2016. On the other hand, Cardiff City are winless in their last 5 matches in all competitions and enter the weekend 4 points from safety. However, the Bluebirds will look to build on a positive performance against Arsenal, in which they outshot the Gunners despite losing the match.

Leicester City v. Manchester United

Manchester United dropped their first points under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Tuesday, coming back from 2 goals down to draw 2-2 against Burnley. They are still unbeaten under their interim manager, but have a difficult run of fixtures on the horizon. Leicester are coming off an impressive draw at leaders Liverpool on Wednesday, but their season has still been a mixed bag. The Foxes have just one win in their last 5 Premier League matches and enter the weekend in 11th place.

Manchester City v. Arsenal

Despite taking the lead in the first minute at Newcastle on Tuesday, Man City suffered their 4th Premier League defeat of the season. While league-leaders Liverpool widened the gap to 5 points on Wednesday, the damage could have been worse and Man City will still feel that the title race remains on with just 14 PL games remaining. For Arsenal, the midweek results went largely in their favor. A late goal against Cardiff saw the Gunners claim all 3 points, while Chelsea and Man United both dropped points. Arsenal enter the weekend in the top-4 for the first time since November.

West Ham United v. Liverpool

Liverpool failed to capitalize on Manchester City’s loss midweek, settling for a draw at Anfield against Leicester City. However, the Reds still sit 5 points clear at the top of the table as they continue to chase their first-ever Premier League title. They head to West Ham, who have lost 3 straight matches in all comps, and are coming off a loss at Wolves in which they didn’t muster a single shot on target. On top of that, Marko Arnautovic was seen leaving Molineux on crutches after being subbed off with a foot injury.
