Homestead-Miami Speedway will play host to the championship round of the NASCAR playoffs with Sunday determining who will win the title between Martin Truex Jr., Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin. Here are my Predictor app picks for the season finale at the 1.5-mile track: 

STAGES

First stage (Alex Bowman, William Byron, Jimmie Johnson, Brad Keselowski):

PICK: Byron. Hendrick Motorsports driver seems on the cusp of breaking through for his first victory and has been the fastest of this group.

Second stage (Ryan Blaney, Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson, Joey Logano):

PICK: Larson. Even with this year’s rules changes, the Chip Ganassi Racing driver still gets the nod at his favorite track.

Third stage (Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Martin Truex Jr.)

PICK: Hamlin. He will join the other three as a champion in NASCAR’s premier series.

Top 3 Overall:

1. Denny Hamlin: It just seems as if the 2019 season will be remembered as his year from start to finish.

2. Martin Truex Jr.: His team is the most prepared but will finish one agonizing spot short for the second consecutive year.

3. Kyle Larson: He’s on record as wanting to avoid affecting title battles, so it will be interesting if the No. 42 is strong Sunday.
