West Brom v. Chelsea

Though it’s been an underwhelming start to the Premier League season for new-look Chelsea, it’s hard to say that they’ll be anything but heavy favorites at The Hawthorns. West Brom have yet to pick up a point in their return to the top flight, and have conceded 8 goals from their opening 2 games.

Sheffield United v. Leeds

After a fairly poor Project Restart, Sheffield United’s 2020-21 season hasn’t been much better. Chris Wilder’s men have lost both of their opening 2 games and are the only team yet to score a Premier League goal this season. But considering their opponents on Sunday, you should expect some goals at Bramall Lane. Both of Leeds’ Premier League games this season have ended in a 4-3 scoreline (loss at Liverpool, win v. Fulham).

Manchester City v. Leicester

Manchester City got their season underway with a 3-1 win at Wolves on Monday. Now, they’ll return to the Etihad to take on a Leicester City team who won both of their opening 2 Premier League games this season. It’s worth noting – Leicester have never won their opening 3 games in a top-flight season.

Fulham v. Aston Villa

Despite getting a couple of goals from Aleksandar Mitrovic last weekend at Leeds, Fulham lost their second straight game to start the season. Scott Parker’s most worrying issue has to be his team’s defense – they conceded 7 goals in those 2 games. Meanwhile, Aston Villa got off to the perfect start – a 1-0 win over 10-man Sheffield United – and will be looking to win their opening 2 Premier League games for the first time since 1999-00.

Liverpool v. Arsenal

Both Liverpool and Arsenal have picked up maximum points from their 2 games this season. The champions have been bolstered by big-name signings over the past week or so, while Mikel Arteta’s men are hoping to win their opening 3 Premier League games for the first time since 2004-05. Speaking of Arteta – he started for Arsenal the last time the team won a Premier League game at Anfield – way back in September 2012.
